2014 Spring ABL Basics for Underwriters Workshop

The ABL Basics for Underwriters Workshop is a two day course created to help the underwriter hone his/her skills in setting up lending parameters on prospective deals by understanding how all the pieces fit together. A full discussion surrounding the interpretation of data and ratios will be had, and how they should influence how the new loan facility is structured. Drilling down on key data will be taught to get to core values for better interpretation and proper risk assessment.

 

What will you learn:

-          How to drill down and ask the right questions

-          How to maintain an ABL perspective when looking at financial statements

-          How to minimize loan losses and maximize returns

-          How to properly structure an asset-based loan

 
Accounts receivable analysis, including aging, ineligibles and advance rate structuring

Classification and analysis of inventory including advance rate calculations

Collateral reporting proposals

Lending on fixed assets and types of appraisal

Projections and forecasting

Financial statements spread and review

Balance sheet ratios and analysis

Borrowing base certificate

Tuesday May 20: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday May 21: 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

 

Continental breakfast will be served each day beginning at 8:30.  The program will begin at 9:00am. Lunch will also be provided each day.
